Lisa Richards is the fearless founder and CEO of Picnic People. Her passion is sales and marketing, and she truly loves using her creative, big-picture-focused mind to help clients achieve the events of their dreams. When she isn’t working, Lisa loves spending time with her four poodles, and traveling to her vacation home in Montana with her husband, Rick.
Jesse Williams serves as Picnic People’s event coordinator. With a significant amount of event planning experience, a storied history of successful corporate special events and plenty of positive team building exercises to his name, Jesse knows what it takes to maintain a productive workplace and produce beautiful memories. He constantly looks forward to serving Picnic People’s customers with his personal touch, unique style and plenty of time-tested expertise.
Justine Breen is Picnic People’s account manager, operating and executing all the fun elements of each picnic. With a degree in Business Management and a certificate in Meeting & Event Planning, she knows that a great picnic comes down to all of the details—and that is where Justine excels. She enjoys working on the “out-of-the-box” picnics with the event coordinators and looks forward to any challenges that might come her way. When Justine is not making Picnic memories, you can find her restoring a mid-century modern house with her husband, going to farmers markets and indulging in embarrassing reality TV shows.
Lori loves working with numbers and always has, so at an early age, she knew that accounting was the path for her! Now, Lori has over 30 years of accounting experience, and seven of those years have been with us at Picnic People. We’re so proud to say that Lori believes working for Picnic People has been the best experience of her career. She loves that everyone takes such pride in assuring the service we provide makes each client’s event a special memory for his or her occasion. In her free time, Lori loves to garden. She enjoys reading good books and frequently spends free time with her wonderful family.
Director of Warehouse Operations
For over six years, Picnic People has had the pleasure of playing host to Jessica’s hard work and incredible people skills. With a degree in Psychology from the University of Westminster in London, England, she is a whiz at connecting with both clients and our Picnic People team. Jessica takes great pride in matching our staff members and their specific expertise with specific event needs, ensuring that our team is setup to succeed every time.
Jessica hails from the Netherlands. Her professional and personal resume are comprised largely of Michelin Star-recognized dining establishments in both England and the Netherlands; therefore, Jessica has been the perfect Picnic People liaison to classic European service! She is a true hospitality veteran, and the opportunity to work closely with all the event staff at Picnic People has proved a great way to combine her experience with exceptional service and well-honed people skills.
Throughout the year, Jessica enjoys volunteering in the special event realm for Mama’s Kitchen, a non-profit organization that prepares and delivers food to San Diegans who are affected by AIDS or cancer. She utilizes her catering expertise to assist this beloved charity in producing wonderful events and fundraisers.
In her free time, Jessica embraces the San Diego beach life. She’s frequently found sailing, beach snoozing, exploring local culinary treasures and enjoying area nightlife and outdoor activities. While demure and worldly in the office and on events, Jessica is a demon on the kickball field and is known for her exotic Jell-O shots.
Miguel comes from Guadalajara, Mexico, and moved to San Diego in 2003. While Miguel was in high school, he began working for Hospitality Events as a warehouse employee during the summer months. In short order, Miguel rose through the ranks to become the warehouse manager for Festivities Catering and Picnic People. In 2015, Miguel was promoted to being the director of warehouse operations and assumed responsibility for equipment management, maintenance and delivery for multiple catering operations. Miguel is studying to become an architect with an emphasis on residential design. He is gifted with his ability to design and use space for storage, in addition to building transportation containers for catering equipment.
Ashley joined the Picnic People sales team in 2011 after being a superstar recreational specialist (AKA rec spec). She knows our picnics inside and out! Guiding clients through the customized proposal process and meeting clients’ deadlines are her strengths. Ashley has a darling daughter Tatum who loves to picnic with her on Saturdays.
